The Mavic Crossmax SLR's utilize titanium skewers, a narrower but stiffer rim and less hub material. They're stiffer due to a wider, dished hub with taller flanges. Durability is increased with Isopulse rear wheel lacing and an updated FTS-X freehub with low friction seals, and tougher pawls.
